Service tour to madappanahalli....First Experience

Today is the wonderfulday i went on my service tour to a village called madappanahalli 30kms near Bangalore as a part of Satya Sai Seva Samiti.It was not very interior village but decent enough ..had a school,not very bad but decent roads which one could find in a typical indian village.We reached there by a co-member's car by 9.00A.M and started cleaning the Lord Sai's temple.With noone's guidance i got a broom and started sweeping the area.Went to meet the local children over there and gathered all of them at the temple and told a few moral stories which i could barely recollect.Then we were asked to conduct some games for the children and it was then i couldn't find the right game for atleast 20 mins...that sounded ridiculous of myself.A graduate from a Top E-College of India couldn't find an interesting game for an average of 8 year old kids.Finally we found the word game interesting to us and have done with that.As i am from Hyderabad i am very much new to kannad and learned the word 'banni' meaning 'Come' in english.The 2 lines which amused me in using for conveying the people of the bhajan in the temple were 'Gudilla bhajan madithiri......prasadam kudithiri...'.There was a naughty kid who had three chocos with him and was asking the chocos with color and size specifications.We distributed prasadam to the village and washed all the dishes at the water tank located at the centre of the village.I dont know if i would do the same thing in my own village!!(wasing dishes at the centre of the village).We returned after meeting few other workers and it was wonderful meeting new people who are working with noones guidance and orders...real service to people

2009 Nobel Peace Laureate.....Barack Obama!!!

Hi Buddies....At last the Nobel prize committee has conferred the much renowned peace crown for the year 2009 on Barack Obama ,which I couldn't even dream of.Then rose many questions in my mind with many zooming pictures of great and never-old fighters of peace like Mahatma Gandhi,Mother Teresa and Martin Luther King.The then million dollar question with me is what the eligibility for a Nobel Peace Prize is.What would the eligibility you consider for a Nobel Laureate was the question from Pradeep,my friend.It was then I started judging the decision of Nobel commiittee on Peace Prize.For a moment i put myself in the shoes of the Judge and started analyzing the situation.Since Nobel prize is the highest recognition that can be given to the services of any person on the earth,I will pick up the person who has most influenced the world peace and has born the responsibility of peace as the primary profession.So the obvious question infront of me is,Is Obama the person who has most influenced the world peace.My answer to it is a bare YES.Alittle doubt of my answers but my reasons stood strong as he is the person who has spoken the word Peace as an American president after George Bush.He is the person who has initiated the peace process in the states and has given world peace a priority on his list.After Bush's reckless war on Afghanistan and Iraq, he is the person who dared meet the Afghan citizens as an American ambassador of peace.He had peace to the core of his voice and was considered an ikon of peace even by the terrorist countries.He is the person who is proactive in resolving the cross border problems between Israel and Palestine as well as the racist problems many Black people in the various parts of the world are facing.The reasons sound strong enough but nowhere could i find the visible fruits of his efforts being reaped and considering the life he spent in serving the world peace puts me in trouble in favouring the judgement.Is it a diplomatic decision is an other question?what for is an other question?As the search of Nobel Prize committee should be for a person who has dedicated entire life for the cause of peace and has been highly positively influential in initiating and restoring the world peace,Obama's years of service in world peace and the results of efforts donot match the specifications of the Nobel Laureate.So is the surprise among the entire world.After analysing and evaluating the weightages of all the positives i came to a conclusion that it being a bit earlier making Obama a Nobel Peace laureate.
